PBT makes car batteries more sustainable

Pure Battery Technologies (PBT), headquartered in Brisbane, Australia, with a German subsidiary in Ettlingen, produces the precursor (pCAM) for nickel-based active cathode material (CAM) used in lithium-ion batteries required for electromobility. The company has developed novel processes for the new production and recovery of nickel-manganese-cobalt compounds. These processes not only lower process costs, they also significantly reduce chemical and energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
